More than half of Satanic Temple members are LGBTQs, admits by its co-founder
“It would be a conservative estimate to say that more than 50 percent of our membership is LGBTQ”, said Lucien Greaves in an interview by the Attitude. a British magazine catering for LGBTQs.
Greaves, who identified himself as a straight, also said that the reason for such a huge number of LGBTQs in Satanic Temple is because LGBTQs “feel disowned and disenfranchised from the traditional religious institutions”.
The Satanic Temple which is based in Salem, Mass. in the United States is in full support of every Pride parade. Greaves reiterated that they will continue to protect and fight for the rights of the gay community.
They see to it that every LGBTQ has space and with welcome identity in their church (so to speak).
“Our chapters are always involved with Pride parades in the United States, they’re always doing something for the LGBTQ community and they’re always open about inclusion”, added Greaves.
